Dr. Guilder has been Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery since 1990. Dr. Guilder has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1997 indicating a high level of moral, ethical and surgical proficiency known throughout the local medical community. After completing a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery, in conjunction with a private practitioner and Emory University in Atlanta, he commenced his surgical practice in the Plantation and Fort Lauderdale area. His practice has been located in these communities since 1991.    Dr. Guilder treats disorders involving all aspects of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery and specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with a special interest in rhinoplasty also known as nasal reconstruction.       Dr. Guilder graduated from Florida State University in 1980, and attended graduate school in molecular biology. He completed his medical education at the University of Miami School of Medicine, graduating in 1985.    Subsequently,  Dr. Guilder began his surgical training at the University of Connecticut affiliated hospitals. He completed this training in 1990. The next year he pursued a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Atlanta, under the guidance of a private practitioner and Emory University. This completed his formal surgical training. Board certification soon followed.     Dr. Guilder continues to attend a variety of seminars in the fields of Plastic Surgery as well as continuing education courses in the ENT field. Dr. Guilder most recently attended the New York Society of Plastic Surgery meeting held at the Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan. An upcoming course offered through the Cleveland Clinic in April and focusing on facial plastic surgery and new surgical techniques in sleep disorders treatment will be attended.    Several years ago Dr. Guilder obtained the necessary training in order to treat and evaluate worker compensation patients as part of his practice. This has enabled Dr. Guilder to more effectively interact with worker compensations representatives, cases managers and attorneys involved in these cases.    Please browse through the many white papers written by Dr. Guilder regarding a large variety of subjects and the Before and After Photo Gallery
